Steve Zoppi

Mr. Zoppi founded Collabri Group in December of 2001 and served as principal advisor until October of 2006 when he returned to full-time consulting. Prior to joining Collabri's team as managing partner, Mr. Zoppi served as vice president and chief information officer of digital video recording pioneer TiVo. TiVo's information technology services included security, operations, customer-facing applications and enterprise systems development. Steve brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience both as an executive-level technology practitioner and a recognized industry analyst. He also serves on numerous advisory boards for emerging technology companies. Steve is also a partner of the distinguished executive management firm StrataFusion Group providing CTO, CIO and COO leadership for a broad portfolio of clients.


Steve was vice president of Operations for Hotwire, Inc, a leading online provider of discount travel. Prior to Hotwire, Steve was vice president and chief information officer for Electronics for Imaging (EFI), creator of software and hardware digital imaging solutions for network printing. He also served as a recognized technology industry analyst while vice president at META Group, a top IT market research and consulting company. At META Group, Steve advised Global 2000, government and emerging growth companies on technology and business initiatives. In 1999, Steve was awarded the distinction of META Group Research Fellow. Prior to this position, Steve held senior technology and programming management positions at Adobe Systems, Oracle Corporation, IBM, NASA/Ames Research Center, Esprit de Corp and Software AG of North America.


Steve holds as BS in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco and an AS in Music. Additionally, Steve has added "published author" to his list of achievements. His co-authored book, CIO Wisdom: Best Practices from Silicon Valley's Leading IT Experts, hit bookstores in August 2003.
